The Vessel
The Vessel is a fast 7 metre purpose built sea vessel ideal for fishing, crayfishing, scuba diving and sightseeing. The vessel's unique safety in mind design along with toilet facilities, makes for a great aquatic adventure.
Fishing/Crayfishing
Try your luck potting for Kaikoura’s famous Rock Lobsters or drop in a fishing line to catch Sea Perch, Blue Cod or another of several fish species. All fish caught are processed and bagged ready to cook or eat and all fishing equipment is modern and supplied
free.
Bird Watching
View the vast variety of seabirds that inhabit the Kaikoura coast, from the tiny diving Petrel to the giant Royal Albatross. Kaikoura is often called the seabird watching capital of New Zealand.
Skipper
Justin Smith is the friendly skipper at Top Catch Fishing Charters and is well known for specialising in small and personalised trips. Justin has had years of experience in the Kaikoura area.
Departures/Costs
Top Catch Fishing Charters depart from the South Bay wharf. All trips are of approximately 3 hours (longer or shorter by arrangement). Weather permitting
